Streamer guidelines

What partnered streamers agree to when they apply. Short on purpose, and the charter still applies to everything a member does.

1. Represent the guild well

To the people who watch, you are the Legion. Be the player you would want in your own Squad.

  • Be patient with new players and honest about what the guild is and is not.
  • Be civil to other guilds and to the other faction in chat. A PvP server gives you plenty of reasons to be sharp in game; keep it in game.
  • Say on your channel that you are a Legion of Terror member. Use the guild name and crest as we publish them, unaltered, and never in a way that suggests Blizzard endorses the guild or your channel.
  • Speak for yourself. You are not an officer unless you hold the rank, so do not make promises or decisions on the guild’s behalf.

2. No gold promotions and no real-money trading

The charter has zero tolerance for gold selling and for boosting for real money. That includes your stream.

  • Do not sell, buy, advertise or link gold, items, accounts or boosting services for real money, on stream or in your channel panels, descriptions and chat commands.
  • Do not run or promote GDKP or any other gold-bidding system. Blizzard bans it and so do we.
  • Sponsorships are fine when they follow the game’s terms and your platform’s rules, and you disclose them the way your platform requires.

3. Follow the game’s rules and your platform’s rules

Both sets apply to you, and breaking either puts the guild’s name on the problem.

  • Follow Blizzard’s terms, conduct policy and add-on rules. No exploits, no botting, no third-party cheats.
  • Follow the terms and community guidelines of Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, X or wherever you stream.
  • If your platform or Blizzard asks you to take something down or change how you stream, do it first and talk to us after.

4. No harassment and no stream sniping

Stream sniping means using a live stream to find and ambush the person on it. It works against guildmates and against our enemies, and we do not allow it either way.

  • No harassment, hate, doxxing or threats, in your chat or aimed at anyone else from your channel.
  • Never use your stream, or a guildmate’s, to ambush a guildmate, or to give a group, a raid or a location away to people who would use it against them.
  • Do not point your viewers at a player, a guild or a Legion. If something happens to you in game, you can tell the story without naming and targeting people.
  • If a guildmate asks you to leave them off the stream, blur their name, or stop showing a raid, do it straight away.
  • Moderate your chat. Remove or ban viewers who harass anyone.

5. Keep private plans private

Officers mark some things private: raid times, Legion plans, rosters and officer discussion. Those stay off your stream until they say otherwise.

  • Do not show or say raid times or plans that officers mark private, and do not show the members area of this site (the Legion board, the calendar and event pages) on screen.
  • Do not show officer chat, private Discord channels, direct messages, the admin panel, or anyone’s BattleTag or real name.
  • Use a stream delay of at least a couple of minutes while you play on a PvP realm, so enemies cannot watch you to find where you are or where your group is going.
  • If a raid leader or an officer asks you to pause the stream or stop showing something, do it at once.

6. What officers can do

Partnered status is an honor, and the guild can take it back. It is not needed to be in the guild.

  • An officer who sees a problem talks to you first. For a serious or repeated one, officers can unpublish your profile and remove the Partnered Streamer badge.
  • Removing partnered status does not remove you from the guild. Guild membership follows the charter, including how to appeal a decision.
  • These guidelines can change. Officers announce a change in Discord, and your continued partnership means you accept it.
